About me
Hello everyone,
Jeremy here! I'm a native French speaker with deep-rooted passion for languages who has called Spain home for the past 30 years. From a very young age, language acquisition has played a crucial role in my education, which led me to complete a degree in English studies and a master's degree in translation. I also aimed to specialize in video game localization through a mini-master's program at Traduversia. So far, I've had the privilege of working as a web content translator for customers in jewellery and tourism industry while occasionally working as an interpreter at various sporting events. But the most relevant experience has been translating video games and learn about their ins and outs thanks to the specialisation course.
Of course, a video games translator should have a solid background in games industry, right? From a very early age, I have had the privilege of immersing myself in the world of computers and gaming consoles, including iconic platforms such as the Commodore 64, NES, and Game Boy. The captivating universes created by video games, still premature, combined with the predominance of the English language, sparked my curiosity about the intricacies of the narratives within those captivating interactive experiences. This fascination led me to engage in projects such as the magazine Minami and digital platforms such as the renowned website Vandal.net as an editor.
This whole journey has allowed me to bridge linguistic gaps and facilitate effective communication between diverse cultures. Thus, I'm excited to share my experiences and insights with you all, and I believe that together, we can explore the beauty of languages and their role in our increasingly interconnected world. Looking forward to our interactions!
